Ernest Yeboah ACHEAMPONG(PhD) is a Senior Lecturer and Postgraduate Programme Coordinator in the Department of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Sport (HPERS) at the University of Education, Winneba, Ghana. He is also an Associate Researcher in the Laboratory of Sport and Social Environment at Université Grenoble Alpes, France. Ernest serves on the Scientific Committee of Mission 89 based in Switzerland and is part of the Advisory Board of the International Sociology of Sport Association (ISSA) (2024-2027). He is a committee member of Ghana Para-Athletic. His current research interests are in sport for development and peace, African football, athletes’ migration, football management and sport coaching, youth football education, leisure and gambling, and giving back phenomenon. He has published in several academic journals towards the use of sport for social change and development.
