About Kelsey Dancause

Kelsey Dancause is a professor at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), Canada. Kelsey is a Biological Anthropologist with training in maternal and child health and nutrition, population studies of non-communicable diseases, health behaviors, and psychosocial health during pregnancy. She is particularly interested in risk factors for poor infant growth and for later chronic diseases that could be targeted to reduce health disparities in at-risk communities. Her research program includes studies in Canada and the United States, especially with immigrant families and socially disadvantaged communities, and in Vanuatu, a lower-middle income country in the South Pacific.
