Tamara Awartani offers a unique blend of international experience in the sports for development field, holding roles as both an academic and a practitioner. She is the founder and director of Palestine: Sports for Life NGO and a current PhD candidate at the German Sport University Cologne, where she is focusing on sports for development and employment. She is a consultant and an international speaker, she incorporates her belief in the power of sports into her personal journey and reflects it back on the various stakeholders with whom she works. She has experience at the grassroots level, as well as with national educational institutions, sports federations, and international sports for development consortiums. She is an expert in strategy development mainly for women and girls sports, the analysis and development of S4D curricula and content based on identified needs, while also bringing her talent in networking, coordination, and facilitation of workshops to the table. Tamara has designed numerous curricula in collaboration with international partners, and has delivered workshops at the national and Middle Eastern regional levels. She has also spearheaded the creation of numerous S4D programs with international partners in Palestine and Middle East Region. Tamara is deeply passionate about sports and firmly believes in leveraging the power of sports for social impact.
