Vanessa García González is a professor at the Rural Sociology Department at the Universidad Autónoma Chapingo in Mexico. Her research focuses on social and cultural aspects of grassroots sports in Mexico, the intersection of physical activity, sport and health, and the relationship between sports and social justice. She has been a member of the Editorial Board of the International Review for the Sociology of Sport since 2018.
