Sport for Social Cohesion: Theoretical and Practical Perspectives

We are excited to share the new book by Co-Chair Karen Petry and Advisory Committee member Louis Moustakas on “Sport for Social Cohesion – Theoretical and Practical Perspectives”!

The book features 22 different authors (many of whom are part of the chair) in 15 chapters, and takes a critical look at the role that sport can play in fostering social cohesion. It presents important conceptual and empirical material that sheds new light on what works and what doesn’t when using sport as a tool of social policy.

This is a fascinating read for researchers, students and practitioners with an interest in sport development, sport policy, social policy or the relationship between sport and society.
