« Role of Sport for Development and Peace Programs in Preventing Violent
Extremism among Young people in Pakistan »
This project investigates the role of Sport for Development and Peace (SDP) programs in Preventing Violent Extremism (PVE) among youth in Pakistan. Using qualitative research methods, the study explores how SDP initiatives promote tolerance, respect, and peace, particularly in a nation where over 60% of the population comprises youth. By examining stakeholder perceptions and identifying key factors contributing to VE prevention, the research aims to fill a critical gap in understanding the potential of sport-based interventions. The findings will offer insights into global best practices, enhancing resilience against VE both locally and internationally.
